Jérémy Calvo

For over 20 years, the French Alps served as my open-air classroom, the place where my passion for birdlife first took root. What began as a deep fascination with alpine species soon grew into a lifelong career, taking me far beyond the mountains on extensive observation and research expeditions around the globe. Today, I leverage this global experience for the naturalist travel agency Escursia, for which I design and lead specialized tours. In particular, I guide trips dedicated to birdwatching in two key regions: Colombia and Senegal. My approach is also characterized by a strong specialization in acoustics. The study of soundscapes and the analysis of bird vocalizations serve as essential tools for me, enhancing both scientific monitoring and the shared experience of ornithology.
